To run for our Board of Directors, you must be:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • a member of Stoughton Credit Union (in good standing) for a minimum of one year as of closing date for nominations.

The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the Stoughton Royal Canadian Legion.
 

Board of Directors FAQ

Our Board of Directors are elected by our members.  Once elected, the Board represents the interests of all members.  They provide vision, leadership, and direction for the success of our Credit Union, today and into the future.  They have a huge impact on our membership, our Credit Union, and our community.
Being a Director at SCU allows you to participate in personal and professional development opportunities, be a leader in an innovative and growing organization, network with commuity leaders, develop and showcase your skills and knowledge.  Grow with Stoughton Credit Union!
Annual Stategic Planning: 
Regular Meetings: Monthly meetings take place the third Wednesday of every month. 
Professional Development: training polans are offered to all Board members.
Community Involvement: you will represent SCU and share in the work we do in the community.  
Credit Committee: our Board is not involved in member credit decisions.
Boring: a position on our Board is anything but.  You get the opportunity to grow professionally and personally.  It is not an easy position, but it is interesting and rewarding.
Operational: our Board is strategic in natue, setting the vision and strategic goals and objectives.  They are not involved in the day-to-day operations of the Credit Union.
